Elevage: Grapes were foot crushed whole cluster into a one ton bins with one-hundred per

grapes were pressed and settled juice was moved to old French oak barrels to complete
fermentation, including full malolactic, which finished in August of 2023. In September of
2023 the barrels were emptied into a single tank to age an additional eight months. In June
of 2024 the wine was racked off its lees and bottled without fining or filtration.
Miscellaneous: 2022 was a essentially a drought year for the early ripening grapes like pinot
noir and chardonnay. The clusters and berries were small and dense with lots of tannin and
it is reflected in the wine. The fruit is there under the tannin but you will want to pair some
food with this wine--beef, duck, mushroom gratin, etc.
